Building Regulations changes from October 2010

The rules about reducing Britain’s carbon emissions are constantly changing and becoming more challenging. Recently the Government changed the limit on CO2 emissions from a reduction of 60% to 80% by 2050. Earlier reductions in CO2 emissions have seen a recent change to Part L of the Building Regulations.

The thermal efficiency of buildings in Britain will continue to improve with zero carbon emissions targeted for 2016 in new housing and schools; 2018 for public buildings and 2019 for all other non-domestic buildings.
