Profile 22 goes to Chartered Institute of Housing June 22-24th

Profile 22 will showcase its advanced performance window range, combining advanced thermal performance and 98 per cent recycled content with enhanced aesthetics at CIH 2010 in June.

The range, part of the window systems company’s award winning product portfolio, features combinations capable of achieving top ‘A’ Window Energy Ratings (WER) and system U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K.

Available in an extensive range of finishes it gives architects new opportunity to specify low maintenace and thermally efficient PVC-U windows more sympathetically to a wider range of applications.

Andrew Reid, sales development director, Profile 22, said: “Profile 22 has developed a range of product options that support flexible design and which deliver end user appeal but which can be delivered at a comparatively modest cost.

“This includes a choice of finishes, including a new dual-colour option gives specifiers and architects new flexibility, for example they might choose a grey external foil as a more cost-effective alternative to aluminium on a ‘traditional’ white interior.

“We also continue to focus our development programme on products that feature engineered-in efficiency on site, in life and which support them in delivering targets in new build and for carbon reduction in refurbishment.”

As an Epwin Group company, Profile 22 was the first window systems company to manufacture a fully recycled window. It also extruded profile used in the Group’s award winning installation of windows manufactured from 98 per cent recycled material in Manchester in 2009 (National Recycling Awards 2009 Best Product category).

This pioneering development has made a significant contribution in PVC-U’s recent ‘A’ and ‘A plus’ Green Guide rating from the Building Research Establishment.

The systems company also operates an Approved Window Contractor scheme, giving specifiers access to an accredited network of specialist window manufacturers and installers.

Developed to support the commercial sector in eliminating the element of risk in contract awards outside the OJEU process, all approved manufacturers qualifying for the scheme have to meet a strict performance criteria.

Reid concluded: “We’re working to support specifiers in making the best choices, whether that’s in identifying the best products or the contract partners to deliver them.

“The Approved Window Contractor Scheme from Profile 22 eliminates the guess work. It gives specifiers access to a network of experienced and accredited manufacturers, with the product and project expertise to deliver contracts to specification.”
