Windows Energy Ratings Explained

Energy rated windows made from Profile 22 can reduce your heating bills by up to 20% every year and as fuel costs increase, your savings will grow. And not only will they save you money, but they’ll also help increase the value of your home, certainly when it comes to selling your house and the need to produce a Home Improvement Pack (HIP).

Landlords and tenants also need to be aware that legislation introduced from 1st October 2008 requires landlords to provide new tenants with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). One key measure will be the landlord’s ability to demonstrate the energy efficiency of the
property’s windows.

Easily identified, energy saving windows carry the Energy Saving Recommended logo and are assessed by the British Fenestration Registration Council (BFRC), using internationally recognised A-G certification.
